This course covers everything from looking after customers to job seeking activities and work experience with a local retailer. What’s more, it is also a great way to get back into studying if you haven’t done anything for a while, even since school. It will give you the opportunity to develop your skills in the workplace and to learn more about working in the retail environment. This course is suitable for those who are in the 18+ age group.

There are no entry requirements or any prior qualification to do this course. All learners will be initially assessed as a part of the enrolment procedure to make sure they are placed in the right group. The only requirements are as follows:
You must be 19 years or over, unemployed, claiming a central or local government benefit and not currently on the Work Programme.

  • Be a UK resident for 3 years plus or
  • An EU national and EEA resident for 3 years plus or
  • Some categories of Asylum seekers and refugees (Please ring us and ask)
