Course Description

his course is designed for people working in, or aspiring to work in, customer service related roles and has been developed to provide the underpinning knowledge and understanding for the Level 2 NVQ in Customer Service (QCF). This qualification is approved as a technical certificate for the Apprenticeship in Customer Service.

There are no formal academic entry requirements or any prior qualification to do this course. You will undertake an initial assessment to determine the appropriate NVQ optional units and to ensure that they can achieve all elements of the apprenticeshipThe only requirements are as follows:

  • Must be aged 18
  • Be a UK resident for 3 years plus or
  • An EU national and EEA resident for 3 years plus or

Edexel BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service (QCF)


All of the content in each unit that is being assessed by a time-constrained multiple-choice assessment method is mandatory.


Learners taking this qualification can progress into employment or further education/training including qualifications such as the Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Award/Certificate in Customer Service (QCF).

Also In order to do an apprenticeship you must have an employer to support you. This qualification is designed for people who’re currently employed in a team leading or management role. You’ll need to lead a team of at least two colleagues, and already be working in a suitable role.

With additional training, intermediate apprentices may be able to progress to roles including middle and senior manager, department manager, head of department, or a wide range of managerial roles within business.
